What Happened? As the events of January 6th, 2021 are coming to an end, we as Americans are shocked. On Wednesday the 6th the United States Capitol building was stormed by Trump supporters. While this was going on, inside the building members of Congress were working on trying to ratify the election. They all had to be evacuated as the mob made their way through the Capitol building. Once inside the supports broke into the Senator's offices, and caused some damage as well. By the time the day was over, according to the Washington Post Staff, four people were left dead. One was shot inside the building and three others died of medical emergencies. It was made clear what these supports wanted; to stop the ratification of the election. According to Sabrina Tavernise and Matthew Rosenberg of the New York Times a man inside the building said "Yeah, we stopped the vote!". ...

A basic recap of American politics sounds something like this. Rolin Branches Of Government We have three branches of government; the Legislative branch which encompasses Congress, the Executive branch which is the President, Vice President, and his Cabinet, and finally the Judicial branch, which is the Supreme Court.
